About the exhibition for GAD
Projections within the Project Space –
Matt is one of the artists for GAD – working on City Hall – maybe also Customs House space – animations – come to talk to the group -

Projection playground – at Customs House – e.g. snakes and ladders game – steps game – last time theme was fire and water – ring of fire – footage of Buckley Falls – Spiders – Bubbles – can we add to this? The option for other students to contribute to this – there will be acknowledgement of the artists.
There are 80 artists this year.
Week 7 notes
Project space for GAD
Website – Geelong After Dark 2015 – link to GAD website – Urban space – navigate to Deakin – Newcombe Secondary College – main space (ways of seeing) – second room – EEA211 & Merinda’s son (interactive light/sound). We’re projecting on walls in that space. We need to experiment –
Next week – start class later – go into the space – run through the videos. (Start class at 4pm) –
Work will be looped – in maybe 3 side shows.
e.g. Rats (Natalie) – infesting the institute – occupy movement – with rat animation (political work) – post-modernism critiques society. Looking at radical movements (like Occupy) – making a spectacle by a ‘tent embassy’ outside institutions – and in public spaces. The swarm – of people against the establishment . The rate infestation – critiques and comments on this whole radical protest – revolution movement.
Our brief – was to work with visual to manipulate light/sound – last year’s
Matt Bonner – main artist on the projections on City Hall. (also helping us) - today’s goal is to get work ready for presentation
